Contraindications:
- Do not use if you have a history of sensitivity or allergic reactions to this product or any of its ingredients.
- The safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children under twelve years of age has not been established.
Warnings:
- Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, or lips. If accidental contact occurs, rinse immediately with water and consult a physician.
- Sunscreen use is essential during hydroquinone treatment because even minimal sun exposure can sustain melanocytic activity.
- This product contains sodium metabisulfite, which may cause allergic reactions, including anaphylactic symptoms, in sulfite-sensitive individuals, especially those with asthma.
Precautions:
- Apply only to small areas at a time since some users may experience temporary redness and mild burning.
- For pregnancy, classified as Category C, no studies have been conducted on hydroquinone’s effects during pregnancy. Use only if clearly necessary.
